Show off your awesomely decorated Christmas tree!
Today it is time to show off your Christmas tree! It is ingrained in our Christmas traditions and symbolises hope, protection and everlasting life since ancient days! Isn’t it comforting to see the evergreen in your home with sparkling lights and colourful baubles? There is an old German traditions around the Christmas tree that I love. It’s called “Christbaum Loben”. This involves praising someone’s Christmas tree to get an alcoholic drink (normally Schnapps). My early memory of this is about my mum telling her parents every year what a beautiful tree they had again and my grandfather always replying that it won’t get her a Schnapps! So whether your Christmas tree has been your joy since November or going up today enjoy your awesomely decorated Christmas tree (hint, hint) and share awesomeness this season!
